Let’s put some rumors to rest. Effective at 5pm today – Airsoft Sport Unlimited at 758 N. Tyler Rd. is officially closed.

HAVE NO FEAR – the games WILL continue.

With the slump in the economy, we considered a new job position in Florida – with the intent of selling our store. Unfortunately, the economy has ruled out any quality buyers. Then, we found out on Monday of this week from our vendors that customs is holding the shipments of quality airsoft aeg’s. ATF and customs is “taking a closer look at things” This has resulted in a deficit of quality airsoft guns availability – we will not lower our standards to sell and inferior product. Therefore, we are not able to get AEG’s, and it is quite difficult to operate an airsoft gun store without airsoft guns. Word is they “may” be available come May, June or July – depending on the government. Well – we, like many of you, live paycheck to paycheck; and we can’t go until late summer with no income. Therefore we have made the tough decision to close ASU.

We are NOT leaving the state, and we will continue the games at Frog Holler. We will have available BB’s, green gas, and a limited supply of items. Give us a week or two and Scott will once again have quality AEG upgrade and repair service available. If you have pre-ordered an item, just pm me or give me a call, refunds will be provided.

Thank you so much for all of your support these past two years at ASU, we have learned so much about retail, and we are grateful for the adventure. God is faithful, and we have learned to rely on him throughout this adventure. We KNOW that the future is going to be wonderful as well.

I am sorry to hear this and it saddens me to hear this. I am glad you will still be having games. I am glad how ever I saw your post as I was hoping to ask for a uniform. Seems I will have to order one online thanks and hopping for you guy able to open up again sometime.

This is so tragic i don't even know what to say Crying or Very sad

Its not just a store its almost like a family. Half of the time i would go to the store i wouldn't even buy anything. i would just go there to talk to friends and hang out.

I think if we put our heads together and talk to the news about this we mite be able to speed up the process. Im not trying to start anything, its just an idea. If we get a few thousand people to complain about this im sure somebody will hear us.

The ATF almost killed one of my other hobbies (Rocketry) because they were illegally regulating the sales and storage of rocket motors. After a 10 year lawsuit NAR and TRA (the two national rocketry clubs) won and the BATF had to stop interfering and trying to illegally expand their ability to regulate anything they wanted to.

Airsoft won't die out, someone needs to step up and take the same actions that TRA/NAR did and call the BATF out on their bullcrap. Its a perfect example of how "big government" has become the bad guy.
